Wright State University was established in 1967 in Dayton, Ohio. It is named for aviation pioneers and Dayton natives Orville and Wilbur Wright. In 1983, the men's basketball team won the NCAA Division II title and is the only team inducted into the WSU Hall of Fame. Wright State won the national title in only its 13Th season of sponsoring the sport, boasting an overall record of 28-4, still the most wins for a Raider team.
