O'Piggyville

CINC-18587-S

To celebrate the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon, the neighborhood of O'Bryonville has, temporarily, changed it's name to O'Piggyville. The marathon, which goes through the neighborhood,  was first run in 1999 and is a 26.2 mi (42.2 km) race run the first Sunday of May. It’s the third-largest first-time marathon in the United States and had nearly 5000 finishers. Total participation for all weekend events typically exceeds 30,000. The race starts and finishes downtown and also crosses into Northern Kentucky. It is a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon and one of the biggest annual events in town.
